A study of the new scientific understanding of consciousness and the mind as a fifth dimension of reality • Introduces the existence of a fifth dimension--one of mind--an inner- or hyperspace where time is transcended • Shows how the barrier of the speed of light is actually a gateway demarking the fifth dimension Since the introduction of Descartes’ dualism in the seventeenth century, the mind and the physical world have been viewed as disconnected entities. Yet qualities of mind such as awareness, purposeful action, organization, design, and even decision-making are present within the structure of matter and within the dimensions of space and time. The space-time continuum of scientists generally ignores the realm of the mind, though phenomena such as imaginary numbers, used by Einstein to combine space with time, are concepts that only exist in the mind. Marc Seifer contends that the inadequacy of four-dimensional models to account for our experience of mental phenomena points to the consciousness of the mind as a higher organizing principle, a fifth dimension where thoughts are as real and quantifiable as our familiar physical world. He shows that because thought enables us to move backward and forward through time--reflecting on the past and making plans for the future--this fifth dimension of mind breaks the laws of relativity, thereby transcending the speed of light. His extensive study of this fifth dimension ranges from relativity and ether theory to precognition, telepathy, and synchronicity, all from the perspective of the conscious universe....

The space-time continuum of physics ignores the realm of the mind. But consciousness is unconfined by space or time and represents a higher organizing principle, a fifth dimension, that transcends the speed of light. Marc Seifer examines relativity, ether theory, precognition, telepathy, and synchronicity, all from the perspective of the conscious universe....

Light -- our experience of light, our measurement of light, and the notion that light speed is constant -- can be understood to mark our interface with the cosmos. David A. Grandy's book moves from the scientific to the existential, from Einstein to Merleau-Ponty, from light as a phenomenon to light as that which is constitutive of reality. To measure the speed of light is to measure something about the way we are measured or blended into the cosmos, and that universal blending predetermines our measurement of light speed in favor of a universal or constant value. It's quite a trip, one aimed at scientists who have pondered light speed constancy, philosophers inclined to question the idea that mind and world are distinct, and scientifically or philosophically inclined persons who enjoy stretching themselves in new ways....

Albert Einstein knew already in the early 1900s, when he first published his famous paper about the constancy of the speed of light, that not only did this constancy imply that mass contains energy (E = m c squared), but that faster-than-light motion could lead to paradoxes -- some that seemed to involve backwards time travel. What are these paradoxes? Why is light and its speed relevant? This book will lead you through an obstacle course of conundrums and oddities, building up your understanding of how light's speed creates simple but mind-expanding paradoxes -- one conceptual riddle at a time. This is not your average popular science book. This is also not a textbook. This book takes one theme -- the universally constant speed of light -- and shows how it may appear compromised on scales from the quantum mechanics of the very small to the cosmology of the very large, and the resulting surprising implications can result. Book Review 1: "Imagine embarking on a journey to comprehend the physics of the entire universe with a guide who’s not only an expert but makes the concepts digestible and entertaining. Robert J. Nemiroff offers such a journey in Faster Than Light, a book that initially describes the speed of light, then touches on subjects as esoteric as time travel using the theory of relativity and speculation on how to send information back in time, among other subjects." -- blue ink Book Review 2: " ... takes readers on a wild ride through the ins and outs of the speed of light in this mind-bending guide. His primary approach is through a series of humorous thought experiments ... explanations are clear and concise, and most of them require only logic to sort out, making the book more accessible than similar titles." -- Booklife Book Review 3: "A fresh and joyous ride through the mind-bending puzzles at the heart of nature's most fundamental speed that remind us that the universe is strange beyond belief" -- Caleb Scharf (Author: THe Ascent of Information) Book Review 4: "Better than a new particle collider!" -- Sabine Hossenfelder (Author: Existential Physics)...

This is the human story and adventures of the great scientists who measured the speed of light -- which takes eight minutes to get here from the sun, so that when we look at the stars we are looking back in time. The book narrates how, since the ancient Greeks, scientists from Faraday, Maxwell, Fizeau and Michelson struggled to understand how light can travel through the vacuum of outer space, unless it is filled with a ghostly invisible vortex Aether foam. Thereader moves from Galileo's observations of the eclipses of Jupiter's moon for navigation, to Einstein's theories and his equation E = mc2, and all the quantum weirdness which followed. Space probes, the Transit of Venus expeditions, the discovery of radio, optics and satellite navigation, and the amazing scientific instruments built to detect the Aether wind are described....

Since Einstein first described them nearly a century ago, gravitational waves have been the subject of more sustained controversy than perhaps any other phenomenon in physics. These as yet undetected fluctuations in the shape of space-time were first predicted by Einstein's general theory of relativity, but only now, at the dawn of the twenty-first century, are we on the brink of finally observing them. Daniel Kennefick's landmark book takes readers through the theoretical controversies and thorny debates that raged around the subject of gravitational waves after the publication of Einstein's theory. The previously untold story of how we arrived at a settled theory of gravitational waves includes a stellar cast from the front ranks of twentieth-century physics, including Richard Feynman, Hermann Bondi, John Wheeler, Kip Thorne, and Einstein himself, who on two occasions avowed that gravitational waves do not exist, changing his mind both times. The book derives its title from a famously skeptical comment made by Arthur Stanley Eddington in 1922--namely, that "gravitational waves propagate at the speed of thought." Kennefick uses the title metaphorically to contrast the individual brilliance of each of the physicists grappling with gravitational-wave theory against the frustratingly slow progression of the field as a whole. Accessibly written and impeccably researched, this book sheds new light on the trials and conflicts that have led to the extraordinary position in which we find ourselves today--poised to bring the story of gravitational waves full circle by directly confirming their existence for the very first time....

Since early childhood whenever I prayed to my God I would get verbal responses. The spiritual voice would guide me and help me. In 1981 at age 42, the spirit gave me the job of studying God and the Universe and presenting my findings to my fellow man. We have a conscious mind and an unconscious mind according to Carl Jung the noted psychiatrist. Most voices that a person hears come from his unconscious mind. I have a hypomanic mind. This gives me the ability to readily bring my mind to a hypomanic state. When I do this I can bring my mind to the edge of the physical dimension in which I am able to look across the light speed barrier and see into the spiritual dimension. The spiritual dimension that I encounter operates at a higher light speed than our physical dimension. I have encountered my spiritual mind. I always attributed my encounters as interactions with my God. However I have always had doubts about the source of the voices. The spirit I encountered demanded that I work and study. It wanted information from me. This makes it more likely that the spirit is a higher dimensional component of my mind. From early childhood to 1981, the spirit was my friend. It was a father figure and it guided my life. It solved my problems and warned me of danger ahead so I could change course. At school and at work I would feed information into my spirit and it would solve the problems. Sometimes I would be taken over by the spirit and it would do my tests while my conscious mind was in a sleep state. As I study and put more data into my spiritual mind, the spirit provides the results to me. Sometimes it is in audio dreams where it speaks to me. In 1981 the initial information appeared in audio/visual words and pictures transmitted from my spiritual mind to my unconscious mind and from there to my conscious mind. In the first part of the book, I present the Dot-Wave Theory and the Dual Light-Speed Universe. This is in agreement with the information my spirit presented to me in audio/visual encounters and dreams. I have studied the data presented to me by my spirit. It gives me the time of the universe since the big bang inversion of 13.78 billion years. It presents the dual light speed of our physical light speed Co and the higher spiritual light speed of 18833Co. My spirit breaks down the universe to a dual mechanical/electrical world where the kilogram units of mass equals coulomb meters per second. This enables me to calculate a cycle time of 1088 billion years from one big bang inversion to the next big bang inversion. Once Part One of the book is understood, The Evolving God will become clear. The spirit understands its own existence quite well. It has seen the world of the dead quite well and it understands the structure of God. The information in Part Two of the book comes from my audio/visual encounters with the spirit and associated dreams. I study the data presented to me. The accuracy of my work is dependent upon the information my spirit is able to obtain from whatever level of God he has reached. There are many Sons of God in the spiritual world. There is one supreme Father God who alone knows all the answers. All I can do is present the information that my spirit has given me. My main concern is in presenting an understanding of the spiritual dimension. The judgment of man is by the Father God and all I have is whatever information my spirit believes to be true. The spirit wants us to seek out a galaxy for the future new Earth. The situation on this planet is bleak. Man has overpopulated the Earth and destroyed the balance of nature. We must aid and assist the relocation of the Father God of this Earth to a new Earth as foreseen by Isaiah. Then Futureman can evolve upon the new Earth. This will fulfill our destiny.Very truly yoursGerald Grushow BSEE (summa cum laude) Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn...
